Testnet tokens are used solely for development and testing; they have no real monetary value and are freely distributed through faucets to simulate real transactions without financial risk. In contrast, mainnet or listed tokens are launched for actual use; they can be traded on exchanges, hold economic value, and power real-world transactions and investments.

"Participating in community governance" is a core feature of the Soshi protocol, powered by VeSoshi (Vote-Escrowed Soshi).

Locking Tokens: To get voting power (vSOSHI), you must lock your SOSHI tokens in the VeSoshi contract. Your voting power is based on both the amount of tokens you lock and the duration of the lock.

Reputation Multiplier: Your on-chain reputation acts as a multiplier on your voting power. Higher reputation gives you more influence from the same amount of locked tokens.

Non-Transferable: VeSoshi (your voting power) is a non-transferable token; you cannot sell or send your vote-locked position.

Early Unlock: You can unlock your tokens early, but this will incur a penalty, which is then redistributed to other VeSoshi holders.
